The pre-trial hearing has been set in the case of the St Peter man charged with murder.
24 year old, Alexander Beccue appeared in Fayette County Court on Wednesday for a preliminary hearing along with the Assistant State’s Attorney and Beccue’s Counsel, Edward Deters, whom was added to the case on Monday. Beccue was advised of his preliminary hearing rights and he waived the preliminary hearing and a formal arraignment. Beccue was then arraigned on the sentencing terms and was made aware that two of his charges, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, could result in extended terms. Counsel Deters then entered a plea of not guilty for Beccue and made a request for a jury trial. Beccue was then advised of his rights to a speedy trial. A pre-trial hearing was set for October 31st at 1:00pm.
Alexander Beccue is charged with Murder with the Intent to Kill/Injure, a Class M Felony, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, a Class 2 Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, a Class 3 Felony, and Murder with the Strong Probability to Kill/Injure, a Class M Felony. Beccue was arrested on August 11th following a shooting that occurred in Ramsey, in which the victim passed away.
All persons listed are innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
