Effingham County Jail Bookings – February 1, 2017:
- 29-year-old Lindsey E. Collyard, of Olney, was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department and sentenced to 20 weekends for Driving While Licence Revoked.
- 45-year-old Monty E. Evans, of Altamont, was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department on an Effingham County warrant for Domestic Battery and Resisting a Police Officer. Bond of $2500 was posted.
- 32-year-old Misty D. Baker, of Neoga, was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department on a Wayne County warrant for Failure to Appear on Possession of a controlled substance.
- 38-year-old Jill N. Teiffel, of Effingham, was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department on an Effingham County Warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
- 53-year-old Steven L. McBride was arrested by the Effingham Police Department and charged with False Police Report, Obstructing a Police Officer, and Disorderly Conduct.
- 29-year-old Tara N. Haws, of Effingham, was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department and was charged with DUI/Alcohol.

January 31, 2017:
- At 3:45 P.M. at the intersection of Raney and Cliffview a vehicle driven by Juan M. Angel, 28, Effingham, rear-ended a stopped Unit 40 school bus driven by Doris J. Percival, 77, Effingham. Two children were exiting the bus when the accident occurred; however, there were no injuries. Angel was ticketed for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.
February 1, 2017:
- At 11:55 A.M. at the intersection of Fayette and Raney a vehicle driven by Hunter A. Diveley, 18, Watson, rear-ended a vehicle driven by Jake A. Koester, 18, Effingham. No injuries and no citations.
- At 2:41 P.M. at the intersection of Willow and Pembroke a vehicle driven by Jonathon Hall, 24, Effingham, struck a vehicle driven by Sara J. Frichtl, 59, Newton. No injuries. Hall was ticketed for Failure to Yield.
- At 4:21 P.M. at the intersection of Keller and the I57 NB/I70 EB Exit Ramp a vehicle driven by Pete E. Nadolny, 57, Mattoon, rear-ended a vehicle driven by Benjamin D. Kuhns, 20, Mason. No injuries and no citations.
February 2, 2017:
- At 12:30 A.M. at 2500 N. 3rd an unknown vehicle struck a parked semi owned by New Prime Inc., Springfield, MO. No injuries and no citations at this time.
