Scattered thunderstorms will affect the area this afternoon and evening. Some storms are forecast to become severe, with damaging winds, hail, and locally heavy rainfall. Be ready to take shelter indoors when storms approach.
Breezy and warm weather will continue through Friday, before a strong cold front hits Friday night into Saturday morning. This will bring much cooler temperatures to the area this weekend.
