Springfield, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Legislation co-sponsored by State Representative Blaine Wilhour (R-Beecher City) which makes the state school report card more transparent, was given approval today in the Illinois House of Representatives.
The measure, sponsored by Will Davis, a Chicago Democrat, was drafted to create more clarity on how districts spend Evidence Based Funding money.
HB3446:
- Requires that a school district’s report card include the district’s expenditure of Base Funding Minimum and Evidence-Based Funding received from the State.
- Requires that included in a school district’s annual spending plan they shall indicate which stakeholder groups the Organizational Unit engaged to inform annual spending plans.
- Provides that annual spending plans shall be integrated in annual school district budgets.
The bill was approved on a vote of 106-0 and now moves to the Senate for their consideration.
