Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- On February 20th, 2024, the Effingham County Board voted to approve a disbursement of $10,000.00 in funding to the Effingham County Public Transportation ETrax program to allow for free rides for Effingham County residents who are senior citizens, persons with disabilities, or veterans.
ECPT has developed a Reduced Fare ID Card to allow for county residents meeting the qualifications for free rides as specified by the County Board to make use of the funding received.
ECPT has requested qualified individuals to complete an application and submit to CEFS.
Applications can be found on both the Effingham County and CEFS websites.

About Effingham County Board
The Effingham County Board is the legislative body of County Government comprised of nine elected members, each representing a geographic district within the County. The Board participates an open meeting monthly on the third Monday of the month, with the exception of Holidays in which the meeting date is moved to Tuesday.
