Watson Township, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Following Preliminary Information is Being Released by the Effingham Police Department:
WHAT:
- Two Vehicle Traffic Crash
WHERE:
- US Route 45, 50 feet north of 875th Road – Watson Township
WHEN:
- May 4th at 2:37PM
VEHICLES:
- Unit 1- 2011 Silver Chevrolet Equinox LT AWD
- Unit 2- 2006 Blue Harley Davidson
DRIVERS:
- Unit 1- 20 year old Tristyn L. King of Farina
- Unit 2- 30 year old John L. Britton of Effingham
PRELIMINARY:
- The preliminary investigation indicates the following: Unit 1 and Unit 2 were travelling southbound on US Highway 45 about 50 feet north of 875th Road. Unit 2 slowed to turn inti a private drive when Unit 1 rear ended Unit 2.
TRANSPORTS:
- John Britton was transported to HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.
All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
