Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Effingham Noon Rotary Club has welcomed a variety of guest speakers in the recent few weeks.
The Club first welcomed Effingham Unit #40’s new Superintendent, Andy Johnson.
Johnson is the incoming superintendent, following the retirement of Superintendent, Mark Doan.
He has spent the past several years serving as Superintendent of Jasper County Unit #1 Schools in Newton.
He is also a former Athletic Director and Assistant Principal for Teutopolis Unit #50 Schools.
Rotarian Steve Raymond served as the program chairman for that week.
At the next meeting, Rotarian Bryan Newswander served as program chairman.
He welcomed two members of his congregation at Crossroots Church in Effingham, Lisa Krampe and Charity Bailey, who are involved the Celebrate Recovery program at the church.
Celebrate Recovery is a program available to those dealing with a variety of addictions or those with other difficulties seeking answers through a relationship with Jesus.
The program meets weekly at Crossroots Church, located on South Banker Street.
At the next meeting, Cromwell Media’s Sheila Myers served as the weekly program chairman. 
She welcomed local US Army Recruiter, S/SGT Christiaan Verschuyl.
S/SGT Verschuyl spoke about the recruiting programs with the US Army and what the Army has to offer those who are interested in enlisting.
At the May 25th meeting, Rotarian Kurt Roberts served as the weekly program chairman.
He welcomed Amanda Cooper, Director of Adoption Services for Illini Christian Ministries.
Miss Cooper spoke with the Rotarians about Illini Christian Ministries and its adoption services.
