Louisville, IL-(Effingham Radio)- North Clay Unit District 25 has approved its fiscal year 2027 budget following a hearing and regular board meeting in Louisville.
Superintendent Keith Price said estimated fund balances as of July first were $8.9 million, with the largest share in the education fund. FY27 revenue is projected at $9.7 million, while expenditures are estimated at $10.4 million. The district says the difference is tied mainly to one-time building project costs approved in FY26, with spending occurring in FY27.
The board also recognized new staff for the school year and heard public comments about campus culverts. Principals Sarah Newby and Ben Borries highlighted school activities, including CEO, FFA, FCCLA, safety drills, Grandparents Night, and career expo participation.
After closed session, the board approved Hollie McClusky as permanent substitute, named volunteers, approved Alex Boose as junior high boys basketball assistant coach, and reviewed new campus safety procedures.
