Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Effingham Unit #40 Board held a meeting at 6pm Monday to discuss multiple agenda items.
The meeting started with an acknowledgement of student athlete Jon Perry, who qualified for the wrestling state championship. They also acknowledged the great coaching staff that made it possible.
Up next was a run down of different financial reports from the last meeting. They also mentioned some different things that are needed for the remainder of this year, including book fairs, field trips, and amending the calendar due to use of emergency days.
The board then discussed the sale of land to IDOT. The land is on the southwest corner of Henrietta and Grove streets.
The Board also rejected bids for new repairs and a new paint job for EJHS, citing the cost. The EJHS, and Central Playground Project, as well as Eastside’s parking lot project did get approved to move forward with Effingham Asphalt.
