Cumberland County, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Following Preliminary Information is Being Released by Illinois State Police District 12:
WHAT:
- Single Vehicle Personal Injury Traffic Crash
WHERE:
- Interstate 57 northbound near milepost 175.5, Cumberland County
WHEN:
- Dec. 14, 2021 at approximately 2:00 p.m.
VEHICLE:
- Unit 1– 2019 White Freightliner Truck-Tractor Semi-Trailer Combination
DRIVER:
- Unit 1- Joseph Kindl, 51-year-old male from Palm Harbor, FL
PRELIMINARY:
- A preliminary investigation indicates the following occurred: Unit 1 was traveling north on Interstate 57 near milepost 175.5 in Cumberland County. The driver of Unit 1 left the roadway and struck a sign before overturning onto its passenger side on the right shoulder. The driver of Unit 1 was treated on scene for minor injuries.
CHARGES:
- Unit 1 driver was cited for Improper Lane Usage.
All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
