Woodstock, IL -(Effingham Radio)- One north-suburban county is looking to build a new jail with the money that it makes holding people for immigration authorities.
The Chicago Sun Times reported yesterday that McHenry County is on pace to bring-in ten million-dollars from holding people who are not in this country legally.
The federal government pays the county 95 dollars per-inmate, per-day to house them.
The paper says that deal could be worth ten million-dollars this year alone.
