Effingham, IL -(Effingham Radio)- The Effingham County Chamber of Commerce recognized Southtown Car Wash as the Chamber’s October Member of the Month.
Terry Westendorf worked for Dave Worman at the age of 15, then purchased Southtown Car Wash at 1500 S Banker in 1987 and celebrated 30 years in business last year.
Customer service and continuous upgrades are the key to the company’s success. In the past two years, the automatic wash has been upgraded, free vacuums have been added and a new computer system provides the capability for unlimited car wash packages. They also continue to offer hand wash bays and attendants who prepare the cars before entering the automatic wash.
The business actively supports the Chamber as sponsors for several Chamber events, with committee members and volunteers for EffingHAM-JAM and other events. Terry and Robin and their employees are active in St. Anthony Church and schools and support HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, the Crisis Nursery and all county schools.
