CHARLESTON, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Today marks the one year anniversary of the shooting death of an EIU student.
On April 22, 2017, Byron Edingburg was shot while trying to break up a fight that occurred in the backyard of a 7th Street residence during a large house party.
One year later, police are still seeking information to identify the suspect.
According to a press release from the Charleston Police Department, information gathered in investigations has shown that there were “a number of people present when the shot occurred.”
While some have been identified and spoken with, Police say that many remain unknown.
