- 30 year old, Mollie R Peace, of Mason was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department for criminal damage to property over $300 and aggravated assault. Peace posted $150 and was released.
- 40 year old, Billy J McCoy, of Vernon was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department on a Fayette County failure to appear warrant for the original charge of criminal trespass to a building. McCoy posted $325 and was released.
- 28 year old, Kristina M Ortiz, of Paris was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department on a Cook County failure to appear warrant on the original charge of possession of a controlled substance.
- 54 year old, Bradley D Buzzard, of Beecher City was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department on a Coles County warrant for possession of Methamphetamine. Buzzard was transported to Coles County.
- 33 year old, Glenn M Starnes, of Altamont was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department for contempt of court for a refused drug test. Starnes posted $1,500 and was released.
- 32 year old, Jonathan S Earley, of Olney was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department on an Effingham County failure to appear/pay warrant for possession of 2.5-10 grams of cannabis. Earley posted $575 and was released.
- 30 year old, Jennifer J Smith, of Herrick was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department for possession of a hypodermic needle and possession of Methamphetamine.
- 33 year old, Michelle D Dilley, of Shelbyville was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department for possession of hypodermic needle and possession of Methamphetamine.
- 32 year old, Joseph P Kerr, of Tower Hill was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department for driving while license is suspended and speeding.
- 42 year old, Keith L Wiseman, of Effingham was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department for criminal trespass to resident.

- At 7:43pm at 1805 W Fayette, a vehicle driven by 63 year old, George R Dean III, of Edwardsville struck a vehicle driven by 37 year old, Scott L Wise, of Johnson City, Tennessee. No injuries or citations were reported.
April 19, 2018
- At 10:01pm at 311 Rinehart, a vehicle driven by 34 year old, Dylan T Bovay, of Effingham struck a utility pole owned by Ameren CIPS. Bovay was injured and was taken to HSHS St Anthony’s Memorial Hospital. No citations were reported.

- 46 year old, Chad Wiley, of Clay City was arrested for domestic battery. Wiley posted bond and was released.

- 29 year old, Michael S Funk, of Breese was arrested on a Clay County warrant for petition to revoke probation on the original charge of retail theft.
- 47 year old, Terry Knolhoff, of Coffeen was arrested on a Clay County failure to appear warrant for obstructing identification. Knolhoff posted bond and was released.

- 39 year old, Brian Louis-Jacques, of Clay City was arrested for driving while license is suspended, operating a vehicle with suspended registration, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Louis-Jacques was given a notice to appear and was released.
