- At 4:51pm at the intersection of 3rd and the I-57 northbound/I-70 eastbound exit ramp, a semi driven by 41 year old, Gamal Ahmed Ali Shaghdari, of Dearborn, Mississippi struck a grain truck driven by 40 year old, Jeffrey A Ruholl, of Effingham. No injuries were reported. Shaghdari was ticketed for failure to yield.

- At 9:03pm at the intersection of US Route 45/50 West Junction, a vehicle driven by 71 year old, Ronald R Hale, of Geff failed to stop at the intersection and was struck by a vehicle driven by 31 year old, Mitchell A Gill, of Louisville. Minor injuries were reported and Hale was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
September 24, 2017
- At 6:33pm east of the intersection of Old Hwy 50 and Cedar Elm Drive, a vehicle driven by 21 year old, Ashlynn Smith, of Xenia was traveling eastbound on Old Hwy 50 when she lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree and rolled over. Smith was taken to Clay County Hospital for treatment.
- At 10:00pm east of the intersection of Magnolia Lane and Country Club Road, a vehicle driven by 26 year old, Justin A Dulaney, of Flora lost control and struck a tree. No injuries were reported.

- 22 year old, Chase Runyon, of Noble was arrested for illegal transportation of alcohol. Runyon was given a notice to appear and was released.
