Effingham County Jail – March 30, 2017:
- 26 year old Dallas W. Araiza, of Effingham, was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department on an Macon County warrant for Failure to Appear/Pay on Possession of a Controlled Substance. Bond of $1075 was posted.
- 25 year old Jade E. Jurgins was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department on an Effingham County warrant Petition to Modify Bond on the charge of Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe/Needle.
- 19 year old Malik V. Murphy, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, was arrested by the Effingham Police Department and charged with Criminal Damage to Property and Arson.
- 29 year old Amber D. Evans, of Shumway, was arrested by the Effingham Police Department and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Resting/Obstructing,Disarming a Peace Officer and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
- 28 year old Dylan E. Osteen, of Effingham, was arrested by the Effingham Police Department and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine.

CRASHES
March 30, 2017:
- At 7:58 A.M. at 2911 S. Banker a vehicle driven by Dale H. Clifton, 21, Flora, struck a vehicle driven by Scott E. Sorling, 47, Effingham. No injuries and no citations.
- At 11:42 A.M. at the intersection of Wabash and Banker a vehicle driven by Bradley D. Foor, 53, Neoga, struck a vehicle driven by April D. Hardiek, 40, Effingham. No injuries and no citations.
INVESTIGATIONS:
- Criminal damage to property occurred to a residence in the 600th block of Cherry between 3/20/17 and 8:41 A.M. 3/30/17. An exterior door and door frame sustained approximately $200.00 damage.
- Criminal damage to property occurred to a residence in the 400th block of Edgar between 4:30 P.M. 3/28/17 and 7:30 A.M. 3/29/17. An exterior door and frame sustained $250.00 damage.
- Criminal damage to a semi occurred while parked at 1701 W. Evergreen between 8:00 P.M. 3/28/17 and 2:30 A.M. 3/30/17. An emergency supply airline sustained approximately $80.00 damage.
