The Effingham County Board met on Monday, July 18th.
The Board approved payment to the legal firm Hesse and Martone’s invoice. They also approved the payment of American Legal Publishing’s invoices. The budget amendment will be filed at the end of the fiscal year.
In other action, the Board approved the amendments made to the Firework Ordinance. The amendments make it possible to obtain a permanent license to sell fireworks year round, so that vendors no longer need a new temporary license each year.
The Board also adopted the Effingham County Code of Ordinance books. The books will contain a list of county ordinances that will be open for viewing by the public. Before, the ordinances were not easy to access. They were not stored in order and were numbered improperly.
The Effingham County Board will meet again on August 15th at 4:00pm.
