The Teutopolis Board of Trustees met on Wednesday, September 21st.
In the meeting, the Teutopolis Board of Trustees heard from James Patrick of South Central Illinois Regional Planning & Development Commission in regards to the public hearing that was held before the Board of Trustees meeting. They will also agreed to passing Resolution No. 581. Resolution No. 581 is about the support and commitment regarding local funds. The Board also passed Resolution No. 582 which diminishes the Water Bond Tax Levy for 2016.The Board passed Ordinance No. 869 which is for the collection and assessment of taxes for the fiscal year. This fiscal year concludes on April 30, 2017. The Board tabled making a motion to pass Ordinance No. 870, which is a Codification Ordinance.
In the Village Foreman’s report, it was reported that a Teutopolis resident is interested in cutting down the Oak Trees, whose removal was discussed in a previous meeting, for fire wood. The Board agreed that the resident may cut down the trees after providing proof of liability insurance.
