Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Gas prices are ticking back up ahead of the Labor Day holiday weekend. Triple A reports the national average cost of a regular gallon of gas is now four-dollars-and-eight-cents, up a penny from yesterday. This comes as the crude oil prices are also seeing a jump following renewed strikes between the U.S. and Iran.
The price of Brent crude, the international benchmark, went up three-point-four-percent this morning to just over 91-dollars per barrel. On Friday, President Trump announced what he called “the biggest oil deal in world history” with Venezuela for more than 65-billion barrels of oil.
