Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Stellantis is recalling more than one million Jeeps due to a potential fire hazard.
According to a notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the recall potentially involves nearly 788-thousand Wranglers and over 289-thousand Gladiator vehicles with model years ranging from 2021 to 2025. The NHTSA warned that “the electric hydraulic power-steering pump wiring may overheat and cause a vehicle fire,” and it also advised owners to “park outside and away from structures until their vehicle is repaired.”
Owner notification letters will be sent out on July 9th, and those with questions can contact Stellantis customer service at 1-800-853-1403.
