Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Ghirardelli is recalling several powdered beverage mixes due to possible Salmonella contamination. The chocolate company called it a precuationary measure following a prior recall of potentially contaminated milk powder from a third-party supplier, California Dairies, Inc.
Ghirardelli said the milk powder is one of the ingredients used in the affected beverage mixes. No illnesses have been reported. The FDA said the recall includes 30 pound chocolate flavored frappe, 30 pound classic white frappe and many other bulk products mostly intended for food service.
