Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Thermos is recalling more than eight-million containers due to customer injuries from the products. The recall follows cases of consumers suffering laceration injuries, with some reporting permanent vision loss, after stoppers forcefully ejected from the products and struck them in the face.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, affected products include Stainless King Food Jars as well as Sportsman Food and Beverage Bottles that were sold between March 2008 and July 2024. The products were sold at Walmart, Target, Amazon and Thermos-dot-com in a variety of colors bearing the Thermos trademark on the side. Consumers are advised to stop using the affected products immediately.
