City Of Effingham Announces Annual Hydrant Flushing

Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The City of Effingham Public Works Department will be flushing fire hydrants on the north side of Fayette Ave starting Monday,May 4th, 2026.  Weather permitting.   

Water may be discolored due to the flushing of Fire Hydrants. 

Please check water before doing any laundry. Also, please flush your faucets until you see no discoloration or sedimentation.
