Effingham County, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Illinois State Police Troop 9 responded to a serious crash on I-70 westbound near milepost 86 in Effingham County at around 9:06 p.m. on April 27. The collision involved a passenger car and a truck-tractor semi-trailer.
At least two people were injured and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The incident caused significant lane blockage, but authorities reopened all lanes at around 12:14 a.m.
Details about the severity of injuries or the names of those involved have not yet been released. State police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
