
Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Effingham Plan Commission met on Tuesday evening and announced two retirements.
From the City of Effingham Facebook page:
“Huge thank you to Mark Thies and Kevin Gouchenouer (pictured above) for their time serving on the Effingham Plan Commission! Mark is retiring after 15 years on the board and Kevin is retiring after 3 years.
The Plan Commission is a diverse group of volunteer community members that make critical decisions on how our community grows and develops.”
The Plan Commission also recommended to the City Council:
- Heritage Crossing Subdivision (Preliminary & Final Plats)
- Heritage Drive Housing Project (Site Plan)
The Commission then held public hearings about:
- Petition to Vacate a Portion of a Street – N. Henrietta Street – South of St. Anthony Avenue
- City of Effingham – Heritage Drive Housing Project – R2 Single Family Residence District to R3A Attached Single Family Dwelling District – NE corner of N. Henrietta Street and Heritage Avenue
- Zoning Ordinance Text Amendment – Article 27. Site Plan Requirements, Appendix A. Site Plan Review Standards and Appendix B. Buffer Criteria
All were recommended to the City Council for approval.
The next Plan Commission meeting will be the election of Chair and Vice Chair and welcome new members.
