Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Effingham County Chamber Women in Business Committee will host its annual Women in Business event on Friday, March 13 at the Keller Convention Center, bringing together women leaders and professionals from across the community for an afternoon focused on conversation, insight, and professional growth.
This year’s program features a panel discussion titled “Evolution of Women in Business,” moderated by Shonna Kracinski, Chief Human Resources Officer at Midland States Bank.

- Claire Koerner Stack, Corporate Controller | Midland States Bank
The panel will explore the evolving role of women in leadership, the challenges and opportunities facing today’s professionals, and insights from their own career journeys.
The event will also feature keynote speaker Jacob Dickey, Meteorologist with WCIA, who will present “Being the Calm Voice When Everyone Else Is Panicking.” In a world filled with constant updates and rapid reactions, Dickey has built trust with audiences by calmly explaining complex information and focusing on clarity and authenticity. His presentation will share practical insights on building credibility, communicating with confidence, and becoming a steady voice when situations feel uncertain. A question-and-answer session will follow the keynote presentation.
The afternoon will include networking, vendor booths, a panel discussion, interactive table conversations, a keynote presentation, and a closing cocktail hour designed to keep the conversation going among attendees.
Tickets are $50 per guest or $350 for a table of eight and include the networking cocktail hour following the program.
