Red Flag Warning in effect west of I-55 today due to windy, warm, & dry conditions. SW winds will gust 25-35 mph, with relative humidity dropping to 20-30%. High risk for rapid fire spread. Avoid open burning & use caution with any outdoor equipment that might generate sparks.
A winter system is still in the forecast for late Sunday into Monday, potentially bringing accumulating snow and ice. Confidence remains low on the exact track and impacts (where the heaviest snow/ice will be).
