FDA Recalls Over 64k Pounds Of Butter Over Undeclared Milk

Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The FDA says over 64-thousand pounds of butter is beeing recalled over possible undeclared milk allergens. Food Ingredient company Bunge North America recalled 18-hundred cases of its NH European Style Butter Blend that were distributed at 12 centers located across the U.S. and one in the Dominican Republic.

The FDA classified the recall under its second-highest risk warning, consumption could cause temporary or medically reversible health problems. Bunge North America is an agribusiness that produces and markets multiple food ingredients including corn, wheat, rice, soybeans and feed peas. The recalled product was packaged in white paperboard cases each holding 36 blocks.
