Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service said Kayem Foods Inc. is recalling over 24-thousand pounds of ready-to-eat chicken sausage products due to possible plastic contamination. The company reported it had received three consumer complaints about white plastic pieces in its food products.
The recalled products were produced on June 28th and sold in retail locations nationally. The items include 11-ounce vacuum-packed packages of “All natural al fresco chicken sausage sweet apple with Vermont made syrup.” Consumers are urged to toss the products out or return them to the place of purchase.
