Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken Closing For Good

Mattoon, IL-(Effingham Radio)- From the Mattoon Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken Facebook Page:

We are sad to announce, that due to complications with the insurance company, financing, and the franchise, Lee’s will not be reopening.

We would like to thank the community for its support over the 50 years it was open. We will miss being part of the community, the camaraderie with customers and coworkers alike and of course the chicken.

We are grateful for all the memories we’ve made, the people we’ve met, and the chance to serve for so many years.
