WHAT:
- Multiple Vehicle Personal Injury Traffic Crash
WHERE:
- Interstate 70 eastbound near milepost 148, Clark County
WHEN:
- April 29, 2022 at approximately 4:49 p.m.
VEHICLES:
- Unit 1- Unknown
- Unit 2- 2018 Maroon Jeep Compass
- Unit 3- 2022 White Peterbilt Truck-Tractor Semi-Trailer Combination
DRIVERS:
- Unit 1- Unknown
- Unit 2- Nicole Harrell, 31-year-old female from St. Louis, MO – Transported by ambulance to an area hospital with minor injuries.
- Unit 3- Vikramjeet Singh, 28-year-old male from S. Richmond Hill, NY
PASSENGERS:
- Unit 2- Justin Harris, 34-year-old male from St. Louis, MO – Transported by ambulance to an area hospital with minor injuries.
- Unit 3- Amritpal Singh, 22-year-old male from S. Richmond Hill, NY
PRELIMINARY:
- A preliminary investigation indicates the following occurred: Unit 3 was disabled and parked on the right shoulder with warning triangles in place on Interstate 70 eastbound near milepost 148. Unit 2 was traveling east in the right lane. Unit 1, an unknown Truck-Tractor Semi-Trailer Combination was traveling in the passing lane at the same location. Unit 1 changed lanes and entered the driving lane, striking Unit 2. Unit 2 then struck Unit 3 on the right shoulder. Unit 3 overturned and came to rest on the right shoulder. The driver and passenger of Unit 3 were transported by ambulance to an area hospital with minor injuries. Unit 3 driver and passenger reported no injuries. This crash remains under investigation and no further information is available at this time.
