Washington, DC-(Effingham Radio)- A bill locking-in Daylight Saving Time as the nation’s permanent time is closer to becoming law.
The Senate approved it unanimously in a voice vote, sending the measure to the House. It would end the twice-yearly changes involving Standard Time and Daylight Saving Time. In other words, no more “fall back” or “spring forward.”
The Senate bill was authored by Florida Republican Marco Rubio and Rhode Island Democrat Sheldon Whitehouse.
