Jackson Township, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Following Preliminary Information is Being Released by the Effingham Police Department:
WHAT:
- Single Vehicle Personal Injury Traffic Crash
WHERE:
- 1200th Avenue, 300 feet east of 1175th Street, Jackson Township
WHEN:
- March 10th at 4:22pm
VEHICLE:
- Unit 1– Silver 2007 Chrysler Pacifica
DRIVER:
- Unit 1- Lillian J. Gabel, 16, of Watson
PRELIMINARY:
- A preliminary investigation indicates the following occurred: Unit 1 was traveling southbound on 1200th Avenue 300 feet east of 1175th Street in Jackson Township. Unit 1 was negotiating a curve to the right to enter the tunnel under I-57. Unit 1 drove off the roadway to the left, struck the embankment with the front left corner of the vehicle and overturned. Unit 1 came to reest on its top in the roadway.
TRANSPORTS:
- Lillian was transported to HSHS St. Anthony’s Hospital with injuries not reported/not evident.
All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
