Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Scientists say there’s a genetic risk factor for loss of smell after a COVID infection. This discovery could bring experts closer to finding treatments for the virus.
As many as one-point-six million people in the U.S. still have a change in their ability to smell six months after contracting COVID. 23andMe researchers conducted the study as part of a larger COVID project, using a large body of participants who have done a 23andMe test already.
