Louisville, IL -(Effingham Radio)- Clay County Sheriff Andy Myers has released the following information.
- Sept. 18, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a motor vehicle accident at 5:18 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Hwy 50 and Heather Lane. Apparently Stacy Kessler, 43, Clay City, operating a 2019 Jeep, was travelling west on U.S. Hwy 50, slowed to turn and was struck by another westbound vehicle, a 2011 Kia operated by a 16 year old female from Olney. Minor injuries reported.
- Sept. 19, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a motor vehicle accident south of the intersection of U.S. Rt. 45 and Kinmundy Road, Louisville. Apparently Michael W. Griffy, 31, Farina, operating a 2016 Ford was travelling north on U.S. Route 45, slowed for the school zone, and was struck by another northbound vehicle, a 2012 Dodge Caravan operated by Betty D. Stanford, 64, Louisville. No injuries reported.
- Sept. 21, Clay County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested Starla Garrett, 26, Flora, on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of No Valid Driver’s License. Bond set at $1,000.00 (10%), plus $75.00 warrant fee. Garrett attended Clay County court and was released. She was also wanted on a Richland County warrant and she was transported there.
- Sept. 21, Clay County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested Kathyrn Hartley, 53, Cisne, on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Driving While Driver’s License Suspended. Bond set at $3,000 (10%), plus $75.00 warrant fee. She posted bond and was released.
- Sept. 23, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a motor vehicle accident at 3:10 p.m. south of the intersection of U.S. Rt 45 and Kinmundy Road in Louisville. Apparently Cathy J. Briscoe, 59, Louisville, operating a 2017 Dodge Utility vehicle was travelling north on Route 45, slowed for the school zone, and was struck by 2012 Dodge Ram operated by Benjamin Farleigh, 30, Flora, who was also travelling north. The impact of the accident caused the Briscoe vehicle to propel into a 1998 Oldsmobile operated by Mercedes Smith, 31, Ingraham. No injuries reported.
THE CHARGE IS MERELY AN ACCUSATION AND THE DEFENDANT IS PRESUMED INNOCENT UNLESS PROVEN GUILTY
