Effingham, Ill. – Yesterday Morning, around approximately 10 a.m. first responders were called to County Road 750E westbound, and County Road 200 northbound in Effingham County.
Upon arrival they found an overturned vehicle that was driven by Devin M.R. Durbin, 22, of Mt. Vernon.
Riding alongside Durbin were Nikita S. Durbin, 19, and Annalida L. Durbin, 4 months, both of Mt. Vernon.
According to the released investigation by the Illinois State Police District 12 (ISP), Devin was driving westbound on CR750 when he lost control of the vehicle.
He then swerved off to te right side of the roadway before striking a ditch, and overturning.
The vehicle was flipped upside down before coming to a complete stop.
Devin reportedly admitted to driving too fast on the roadway at the time of the accident.
He along with both passengers were taken to St. Anthony’s Hospital for their injuries.
Devin was charged with driving too fast for conditions, and driving without insurance.
