When Pokemon Go was first released, I had really wished that it had been a Harry Potter game instead. One where fans can discover the Fantastic Beasts and take part in Wizarding Duels.
On November 8th, news was confirmed on the official Harry Potter website, Pottermore.com that a new mobile game is being released for Harry Potter fans. The augmented-reality game, called Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, is being released from Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment and Niantic Inc, the company that made Pokemon Go.
The news release on Pottermore.com stated, “The game encourages you to step outside with your phone, explore your local surroundings and take part in a series of adventures, such as searching for magical creatures and bumping into iconic wizarding world characters along the way. Crikey. Who knows who you’ll spot in your local park? You’ll also be able to cast spells, discover mysterious artefacts, and build up your very own, illustrious wizarding career.”
