A Mattoon man has been charged with Burglary following multiple burglaries that have occurred at the Effingham Country Club.
32 year old, Dory Wayne Gordon, of Mattoon was arrested by the Effingham Police Department on Monday. We recently spoke with Effingham Police Chief Fuesting. According to Chief Fuesting, Gordon was apprehended by Effingham Police Department Detectives in Mattoon. According to Chief Fuesting, four burglaries occurred at the the Effingham Country Club when locks were broken on storage facilities at the club and property was taken. These burglaries occurred from June to this month. After the apprehension of Gordon, some of the property was recovered.
Gordon is set to have his first appearance with counsel on September 25th at 10:00am. He is charged with Burglary, a Class 2 Felony.
All persons listed are innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
