“Hollywood’s Greatest Game Shows” came to Effingham to raise funds for United Way of Effingham County. Legendary show host Bob Eubanks hosted the program at the Effingham Performance Center last Friday. The grand prize was a choice between a 2017 Chevrolet Spark, a 2017 Harley Davidson Sportster and $2,500 in cash, or $10,000 in cash. Connie Worman won the grand prize drawing and decided to ride home in the Chevy Spark.
The winners from Friday’s game show include: Joseph Garland- Yeti Cooler Package, Terry Lacey- Bose Wave Sound touch Music System IV, Amy Vahling- Microsoft Surface Pro 4, Michael French- Diamond necklace, Louis Knox- 65” LG TV, Joseph Schabbing- Nashville getaway, Diane Burnett- Destin vacation, Cathy Arnold- Effingham Tourism package (1 night at Holiday Inn, 2 tickets to Vince Neil at the Effingham Performance Center, gift certificate to Firefly Grill and miscellaneous products from local businesses). The grand Prize winner was Connie Worman. She won the finale drawing and chose to take home the 2017 Chevy Spark.
United Way thanked sponsors of the event: Dieterich Bank, Agracel, Patterson Technology Center, Niemerg’s Steakhouse, WMCI & WCBH, Consolidated Communications, Stevens Industries, Siemer Milling Company, Martin’s IGA, Heartland Dental and HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital. The group also thanked businesses and organizations who helped plan and execute the event that include; Holiday Inn, Keller Convention Center, Effingham Performance Center, Cromwell Radio Group, Premier Broadcasting, Effingham Daily News, Effingham Teutopolis News Report, Imagine This! Marketing Group, Effingham Convention and Visitors Bureau, Weber’s Jewelry, Niebrugge Lumber Company, Walk’s Auto Body and Midland States Bank.
Dan Hecht Chevrolet and Legacy Harley Davidson worked with United Way for the grand prize giveaway. Proceeds from the show will go toward’s United Way’s 2017 campaign.
