State Rep. John Cavaletto called for more Illinois jobs in reaction to Governor Rauner’s State of the State Speech Wednesday.
“We have to create jobs. Put people to work,” Cavaletto said. “And if you’re working, the state is growing. As I’ve said, we don’t need more taxes we need more taxpayers.”
Cavaletto supported Rauner’s suggestions for bringing job growth to the state. “I really believe that if we promote the jobs and do the things he [Governor Rauner] says to correct it and we grow as a state and bring people and jobs back here then we’ll be okay,” Cavaletto continued.
Rauner pointed to workers comp. reform along with relaxing state regulations to help make Illinois more competitive when it comes to job growth.
