Well, it looks like ticket sales for the upcoming, and awesome looking, Star Wars spin off “Rogue One” have crashed the internet for some users. That according Deadline. Ticket sales opened for the film on Monday, which is set to come to a theater near you on December 16th.
Within hours users were reporting 20-30 minute wait times, that is if their internet didn’t just crash with the effort. “Rogue One” is shaping up to be the second biggest December release and is expected to rake in between $100 million and $140 million. That’s still far behind last year’s release of “The Force Awakens” which brough in $247.96 million duing its opening weekend.
Naturally, there was a Twitter feud between online ticket retailers about who could get you the goods faster. This is what we have become people!

I really just wanted to embed that tweet for the sweet movie poster featuring Donnie Yen.
Anyway, I’m pretty sure that some laggy ticket sites aren’t going to stop people from seeing this one. Star Was has come back in force (see what I did there?) and it’s not going anywhere. Of course we know that we’re getting the main trilogy, following the story in “The Force Awakens,” and other various anthology films like “Rogue One.”
Don’t forget that there’s also a Han Solo spin off in the works, starring a lineup of upcoming all-stars. I mean seriously? Even if you’re worried about the film being good you can at least look forward to Alden Ehrenreich (Hail, Caesar!) as Han Solo, Daniel Glover (Community) as Lando Calrissian, and Emilia Clark (of the House Targaryen, the Unburnt, the First of Her Name, Queen of Meereen, Queen of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men, Lady Regnant of the Seven Kingdoms, Protector of the Realm, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains and Mother of Dragons!) as a yet unknown roll.
