The Effingham City Council will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. Tuesday, in City Hall, to authorize the issuance bonds in the amount of $9,500,000 to finance the construction of the new police station.
The City will also have discussion on its Annual Audit following a presentation from David Faller, of West and Company.
Another major topic of discussion will be the future of video gaming in Effingham. An exchange with a prospective new business at the last city council prompted interest in the issue among the council. Topics of conversation will include if the video gaming industry should be regulated, capped, or if the city should adopt a fee per machine policy within city limits.
