Louisville, IL-(Effingham Radio)- North Clay Unit District 25 board members heard an upbeat start-of-school report during their August 19th meeting in Louisville.
Principals Sarah Newby and Ben Borries shared positive news from across the district, including strong open house attendance at both the elementary/junior high and high school. Hundreds attended the elementary event, with support from the PTO, Health Department, Transportation Department, school nurse, Edgewood Masonic Lodge, and Christ Church of Flora. Enrollment stands at 388 students in Pre-K through eighth grade and 168 at North Clay High School.
The board also approved the tentative FY27 budget hearing for September 23rd, several staff and sponsor hires, and heard that the Pre-K playground is nearly complete, with a student ribbon cutting planned the week of August 24th.
