A rural Dieterich man was arrested Monday for multiple felony drug charges.
On July 6th, 2026, Investigators from the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office and Effingham City Police arrested 27-year-old Logan A. Gephart, of rural Dieterich, after a multi-agency drug investigation involving the distribution of cocaine in the Effingham County area.
Agencies involved in the investigation include the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office, Effingham Police Department, Effingham County State’s Attorney’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Gephart was booked into the Effingham County Jail on the following charges:
- Controlled Substance Delivery 1>15 Grams, a class 1 FELONY (2counts)
- Controlled Substance Delivery 15>100 Grams, a CLASS X FELONY
- Possession of Controlled Substance 15>100 Grams, a CLASS 1 FELONY
On July 8th, 2026, a 4th Judicial Circuit Court Judge denied Gephart’s request for pre-trial release in Effingham County Court. Gephart remains in custody at the Effingham County Jail.
Gephart is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
