
Centralia, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Leadership from Kaskaskia College and Southern Illinois University Carbondale, including Kaskaskia College President George Evans, SIU Carbondale Chancellor Austin A. Lane, SIU Provost Sheryl Tucker, and Kristina Boone, dean of SIU’s College of Agricultural, Life, and Physical Sciences, will participate in a formal signing ceremony at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026, at the John D. Cavaletto Agricultural Center on the Kaskaskia College campus in Centralia.
The event will announce a new partnership expanding access to agricultural bachelor’s degrees in Southern Illinois. Beginning with the fall 2026 semester, students will be able to complete select four-year agricultural pathways locally through a combination of in-person and hybrid coursework offered at Kaskaskia College and online courses delivered by SIU Carbondale.
