Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Warmer temps today and tomorrow will bring severe weather to much of the area tomorrow.
Warm, Dry, and Breezy conditions are expected today in central IL, as a storm system approaches that could bring severe thunderstorms Thursday. The highest threat is southeast of I-55. Locally damaging wind gusts and a few tornadoes are the primary concerns.
Behind this system, temperatures will cool off dramatically, from highs in the mid 60s to around 70 today and Thursday, to the 40s Friday, and in the mid 30s by Sunday. Wind chills look to drop to the single digits Sunday morning and again late Sunday night.
