Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Illinois State Senator Steve McClure recently spoke with the Cromwell News Team about the upcoming Town Hall in Effingham, and answered questions about recent bills passed in Illinois.
He addressed the increase in taxes coming July 1st, starting with the fuel tax.
He then gave his thoughts on the Sales Tax increase.
Senator McClure then explained some of the recent bills he helped pass.
He also gave his thoughts on the Gun Ban Bill that is still working its way through the courts.
He then shared his views on the SAFE-T Act.
He ended by giving more information on the Town Hall happening in Effingham. Rep. Halbrook will also be at the Town Hall.
We thank Senator McClure for taking the time to give his views on several issues and new laws. The Town Hall will take place on June 29 starting at 7pm at City Hall.
