Cumberland Holds On For 59-50 Win Over Heritage

Cumberland started off the game hot but cooled down in the middle but ended up doing just enough to get the 59-50 win against Heritage.

Cumberland started off the game hot after they took a 4-3 lead Cumberland would go on to lead 16-6 after the first quarter. However Heritage would stay around as they outscored Cumberland 14-8 in the second quarter to trim the lead to 24-20 at the half.

Cumberland would still not play like they did in the first quarter as Heritage would tie the game up at 32 before Cumberland would take go on a 6-0 run, including a buzzer beater three by Bryant Weber, to lead 38-32 after the third. Again Heritage would hang around in the fourth quarter but Cumberland, behind 20 second half points from Trevin Magee, did just enough to get the win.

Cumberland is now back to 8-8 on the season and 1-0 in conference play. Cumberland will head to the road to take on 6-9 (0-1) Farmer City Blue Ridge on Friday.
