Altamont Completes The Sweep Of OPH On Mega Night, Indians Win 75-39

In the third game of the night in Altamont on Friday, it was the Indians who would complete the sweep of OPH by winning 75-39.

The boys junior varsity started out with the win 88-55. The Lady Indians picked up the win following that and it was up to the boys to complete the sweep.

And they did just that after both teams started out slow out of the gates.  OPH got on the board first and less than a minute in Coach Niebrugge called a time out. After that the three pointers started to fall particularly from Dillion Elam. Elam was on fire from long range making four three pointers. Those threes and a couple of steals from Jared Hammer, would ignite the crowd and lead Altamont to a 20-11 lead after the opening quarter.

Elam would continue to be feeling it from long range with two more in the following quarter, to give him six in the first half. Those six from beyond the arc combined with smothering defense, holding OPH to five in the quarter to  have the 39-16 lead at the half.

In the third quarter OPH had their best quarter of the whole game only problem was that so did Altamont. Avery Jahraus, Mason Robinson and Keinon Eirhart would get in on the three point party. Eirhart would knock down a pair from deep. Kaidyn Miller would score seven in the quarter as well to extend the lead 65-34 after three.

Game would end in a flash with the 30 point lead going into a running clock situation with the final being 75-39.

Altamont improves to 5-2 and are back in action today in Greenville participating in the Comet shootout against state ranked Breese Central.
