Cumberland’s season came to an end on Saturday as they fell at Greenfield 26-0.
The Cumberland offense couldn’t get the ball moving or sustain any positive momentum as Cumberland could only muster 6 First Downs for the whole game. Cumberland also had 2 turnovers but didn’t force any from Greenfield.
Greenfield was steady just scoring one time in each quarter to slowly put the game away. The Cumberland defense looked good at times but just couldn’t keep Greenfield down for the whole game.
Cumberland will end the season with an 8-3 record and a conference title. The Pirates will need to wait one more year to try and make school history and get to the third round of the playoffs.
